Anand Ramesar is an Assistant Superintendent of Police within the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. He is a qualified Lawyer who holds a Masters Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Currently, he serves as the President of the CFPWA and the General Secretary of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Welfare Association (TTPSWA). He is also a past president of the TTPSWA. Anand is a member of the International Association of Crime Analyst and an associated member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

He shares in the vision for synergy among the Caribbean Islands. Thus, he seeks to modernize police organizations through legislative and administrative reform. He wants to ensure that Police Commissioners recognize that welfare must be part of their strategy.
